Restoring Value, the Old-Fashioned Way

Brian Larsen, owner of Brian’s CarSmart, Inc., has over 25 years of automobile mechanic experience. He grew up on a potato farm in Idaho and spent much of his youth working on diesel trucks.

In early June of 1976, Teton Dam, in southeast Idaho, experienced a tragic failure. Water began seeping from the downstream side of the dam, ultimately causing it to give way, releasing a surge of water that nearly decimated nearby cities; everything from trees to livestock and from houses to cars were carried away in the torrent. Years later, Brian and his brother salvaged many of these damaged and abandoned vehicles and began tinkering on them, coaxing them back to life. That began Brian’s instruction in mechanics.

With a solid base of self-taught mechanic skills, Brian continued his education, going on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in automotive electrical systems and a Doctorate in gas and diesel motors. He is ASE Certified and emissions compliant. From classics to pickups and from green vehicles to diesel engines, Brian works on them all.

Brian’s CarSmart is proud to be family owned and operated and doing business the old-fashioned way, which includes a great repair job at a fair price. We believe that good customer service never goes out of style, which is why we include shuttle service, if needed, for local customers.
